misfire cylinder 1

Hey peeps, I just bought a rx-8 but i keep getting a code on cylinder one misfire, i just put some new plugs on them do the coils go bad often on these cars? Or am i missing something.

The RX-8 frys coils. Many owners replacing them. Check with one of our forum venders (forgot which one) who sells each coil for like $23.

i just replaced my coils after replacing plugs and wires and still got misfire code...going to the dealer tomorrow

when you pull the codes from places like autozone, thats what they're going to tell you, generic OBD code result.


240sxdm : all coils will fail, sad thing is that usually they die slowly, theres no way to test when its dying, the way that Mazda use to test them can only tell if they're completely dead.
