Racing Beat mid pipe/cat back video

I finally decided on the Racing beat cat back and race mid pipe for my exhaust. Took me about 3 hours to install it by myself with the DIY exhaust instructions. The Racing beat cat back was a lot heavier than I thought it'd be. My stock exhaust wasn’t that much heavier. The video sucks I know, but you can hear it.

Heavier? Yes. RB states this in the description. Sounds really great, I have the Race Exhaust. It was cheaper AND lighter. I plan on switching out my SR HF for the RB replacement. I can tell that it does sound pretty awesome because my vid recording sounded just like that .

Now lightweight your car for 10 pounds and started to go to the gym.

I had mine installed last week but something is going not right. I hear metal hitting sound under the car while I running little bumpy condition on highway. I think the midpipe hitting stock under brace? something?...any solution? Problem is I forgot to bring back my installation instruction from the shop.

There are two black braces under the midpipe. I'd check and see if your midpipe is still on the rubber hanger. It sounds like its getting loose some how.

I really want to do this setup myself. How loud is this setup at WOT? Any droning in the 3/4k rpm range?

With a midpipe installed, I don't think its wise to have someone standing in that position.

Your problem is, is that you had a shop do a 45min job that could of been done by yourself.

The rattle sound was start making when I left from the shop. The sound was so loud I tought the midpipe disconnect from the catback. It sound like something dragging and grind on the road. So I return to shop and told them the symptom. And they jack up the car and look around and found that the under brace right under the midpipe getting contact with it. So they put washer between the brace.. and increase the gap between midpipe.. After that the huge rattle sound decreased but when I running on bumpy conditon highway It make sound againe. It doesn't make sound running on street. So If I put more washer between brace make sound go away? or take off brace? Any one? more solution? please~! This Thing getting my nerve T-T

Something doesn't sound right with your shop. Try having a forum member take a look at it.

This setup is LOUD at WOT (wide open throttle), but at around 3.5k to 4k it quiets down a lot; almost to where you can't hear it. I'll make a video at speed and post it when I can. Look for it tomorrow.

Okay I made the video. It was 3:10am on a deserted road near my house where they are constructing new homes. No one lives near there yet, so for everyone on safety patrol ease up! The first run is with the windows down to about 80mph, 2nd run with the windows to 80mph, and then I show the spot around 3.5-4k where the exhaust goes silent. The video sucks, but the sound is there. There’s not much light in the area and its so rural that we almost hit a bunny that run in front of the car. Enjoy!

After install, I took mine to Roebling Road Raceway for an event. I noticed a sound coming from the transmission area when making a hard left hand sweeping turn. After getting home I noticed my SS braided oil pressure line was not secure so I wire tied it up. I'm hoping this is what caused my problem but I will not know until next month when I go back.

I do have a short vid of a pass by on the front straight but my brother was too far away to get the full effect. Will have more vids next month with sterio sound hopefully. Both Olddragger and I will be running together with mid-pipes. Dueling midpipes should prove to be fun.
