you guys are too harsh. when i had my 8, I wondered what it would look like with racing stripes. Although I thought that two stripes wouldn't fit well, so I was leaning toward one stripe.

I don't think it looks bad. I kinda like it. However, I don't aggree with whatever is on the door. It simply does not complement the stripe. A long or two long rectangular striations combined with a rather abstract, cicular thing.....not workin....

I think the stripes are just a little too wide, the RX8 doesn't have that face for the stripes to blend in with the overal look of the car. They stand out too much.

 

I did this to a 1989 Eclipse. (offset the stripes to one side to try and balance out the bump in the old eclipse's hood) It was a cheap car and I was young, and I liked it for about 6 months (I guess I was going for the whole matchbox car thing). I personally would never have done this to a nice car like an RX-8 (my eclipse cost me $2500 back in 96). My guess is that your young and probably thought this would look good. It doesn't, and in 6 months you'll feel the same way. Let me give you some advice though, take off the racing stripes now (assuming they are stickers), because in 6 months when you are board with it, the damage will already be done. Your whole car will oxidize and fade over summer leaving you with two big dark lines down your whole car and on the side where the lettering is. Anyway as somebody said earlier the RX-8 doesnt have the right lines for these kind of stripes.

Damn, outa all yah hu sed yah aint like it like 1 person had a picture, n dude wit the rx7 like they sed rx8 not rx7 club, step up ur game, the letters r off tho n thhe blacked out lights in new york i get no problem n i changed the bulbs to get a better viewing at nighttime. the marks on the side of my door were my intials JM but im tryna trade ma car in for a black 1 so i took it off, the stripes im feeln so idk wat yah talkn bout n it got a baby maserati grill, i catch all eyes n ears in ny so for u to tel me ma shyt wak wen n e where i go i got ppl druling so b e z n stop hatn , show me ur whip n leme b the judge of hu drvin sumthin betta
