I need help ASAP.
Whats going on? a Flood? Bad Alternator?
I was driving my 8 and it seemed fine, i didnt notice anything going wrong if there was even signs. But anyway, driving along the freeway and my 8 jus lost all power. the motor stopped runnin but my lights stayed on so i dont think its a battery issue. i couldnt accelerate or anything so as my car eased to a stop i pulled over and waited a bit thinkin maybe i jus overrevved without hearing the beep. i have no idea whats going on. i try to start the car and theres no noise at all but then my security light starts flashing. I had the car towed back to my house and now im waiting to contact a mazda dealer but first trying to find out what to do from here.
can anyone give me advice as to what happened? what to do? and how to prevent that from happenin again? all help would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

Sounds like it could be an electrical short in the ignition system. What mods have you made to the car? If you have made any mods that included tapping into the wiring, check that out.

I just installed a High Low converter to the Bose system to instal 4 subs in the trunk.. if thats the case what do i have to do to fix that? Bigger Alternator to push more watts?

Check all the wiring for a short or incorrect wiring. Or some other thing that got screwed up during the install of the converter. Like Stealth says, check fuses to isolate the problem.

Thanks guys, takin a look at everything right now. If I find the problem ill let you know. But say it is a fuse or something, should the car start right back up or do I need to take it to the dealer? Is it a fuse and it messed with the computer would I need to take it to the dealer still?
Trying to avoid going to the dealer, I dont feel like hearing b.s.

It is probably from you subs and amps you put it. Go over all your wiring and triple check it. Have a friend look at it too.
Always carry some spare fuses in your glovebox, may save your butt some day!!
