I'm contacting you on behalf of Toronto Mazda 6. Who can I get in contact with here regarding an official meet?

We are planning to run a track day at Toronto Motorsports Park, and I need a lead organizer from this group.

 

I am too new in this club to be organizing anything, but I am definitely interested in track days =)

Anyone want to be the main contact for this event?

CLaman, i can help organise some people from this group. Let me know what your target attendence is, how much you are charging, hrs, date etc.

 

Date is set for April 28, 2007. As you already guessed, I'm the lead organizer for this event.

Khan...anything you can do over here would be great.

We are hoping to get as many people out as is possible. The more people that come out...the more the savings will be for everyone.

My target attendence is 40-50 cars. We have about 10 from our club coming so far. Hopefully, more to come.

The duration is for the day.

As of right now, it will be $150 for the day. There will be different events during the day, as we will have several different classes of cars attending.

Toronto RX-7 & 8 (you folks)

We are hoping to have a number of instructors on site for those of us who haven't gone tracking before.

BTW... I saw a beautiful red 8 running around Upper James here in Hamilton. Carbon Fiber splitters on the front, gorgeous rims, and a body kit that matches the sophistication of the car...but anyways...

 

I'd probably say get in touch with "Neo" he can get both 'RX-7 and RX-8' clubs active

 

CLaman...how will the run groups be setup with that many cars. rotating groups of 20 on 20 off?

So the track day is gonna be at Toronto Motorsport Park on April 28th? Any of the RX8 owners are going??

 

i'll make a separate thread where people can sign up for this track day. neo, if you could handle the guys on RX7 club that would be great and i'm sure we could get a good turnout.

We are still working on the logistics of how the groups will be run.

Track Day has been changed to May 5, 2008. We needed to buy some time.

We are talking about a 9-5 day, so there will be plenty of track during the day for all of us.

Sorry I wasn't back to check in last night...was out of town.

Because we are dealing with a variety of clubs, we will likely be doing a rotation amongst the groups. Allowing our cars to cool between sprints.

The last thing we all want is for our cars to get too hot and start detonating on their own.....mind you it may not be as significant a problem for you as it is for us.

Neo.....yes I would like you get the word out. Can you PM on the thread locations, so that I can answer any possible questions.

 

Also is there a local club for you guys, or are you based purely on this one?

 

as far a i concerned....this is the only place board the locals used.....wish we had something like the torontomazda3.ca......but i belive there just isn't people that driving the rx8 compared to the 3s....there there would be too little activety that pretty just kill the site off by itself...
