My RX8 has just recently started to have engine problems. I have taken it in for the concerns but have not been satisfied. I have hesitation at times. Idling low and sometimes acting like will die at a red light. No power. A loud noise coming from under the hood on a few occasions. Vibration when setting still in Drive but goes away when in park. Ticking noise coming from under the hood. All Mazda wants to do is replace the motor mounts and tell me they can't duplicate the other problems. Any suggestions on what my be wrong I have a 2004 Automatic

 

The almost stall at a red light problem might be a dirty MAF. Try cleaning it. I have no clue on the ticking noise though. If it's a bird chirping noise (at idle) though, I've been told that's a common sound with the 8.
