Black plastic

I did a search but couldn't find it.

I think someone asked about this before.

What is black plastic pc. for? It's the one above the white foam.

Sound? Was it to help air flow for the stock intake?

I don't see any need for it with a Ram Duct.

Thanks

I thought it was a sound dampener for the vfad. Either way, I removed it when I installed my AEM cai, and no problems since. Granted it's a little louder..

I seen it when installing the Racing Beat screens. The only thing I can/could think of was its for support. As in supporting the bumber for when anyone leans on it. Just my guess though could definatly be wrong

I'm pretty sure that, that is the front noise bumper support. Your bumper won't sag without it, but if too much pressure is on it, the bumper will move.
