Buying new rims, need input..

Hello, I'm wanting to purchase my rims for my 8 and I'm wondering what exactly should I get?

I have the rims picked out, I want the Falken Koblenz (Black w/ Chrome Lip)

I'm wondering as far as sizes what should I get, like all 4 (19 x 8.5)?

Should I go for the 8.5 or the 9.5? Or Both? (9.5 in the back 8.5 front)

If someone could tell me what tires I should get, that would be great... I need 225/40/19's right?

Thanks!

https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-wheels-tires-brakes-suspension-55/rims-takes-tpms-22131/

or the aftermarket wheels thread

Do they have a 19 x 5" front and 19 x 20" rear staggered option?

It always amazes me how immature a lot of people here are with their condescending remarks. Not everyone spends hours a day here on the forum and know every thread possible.

He's a guy who just wants an opinion for a specific wheel. GEEZ. I thought the point of these forums is to help out a fellow enthusiast. It's not like he's a complete stranger off the street who's asking about rims for his Civic.

To answer your question, you can probably hit up member: sucess07

He's got the Koblenz and I believe they are 19x8.5 all around. If you do a search for "Falken Koblenz" his thread will turn up. I was also considering these wheels for my white RX8. I think I might end up going with 18" Axis Reverbs for a cleaner look. They are also a few pounds lighter than stock too.

whether or not you go with a staggered setup front and rear its up to you. I would go with 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear

In regard to tires, I would go with 235/35/19 front and a 275/30/19 rear. Alot of people have gone with 245/35 front but I don't like the fact that it is taller than the rear tire. Not by much but it still is.

I think that a 225 tire on an 8.5 in rim is going to be a bit small and it will look kinda stretched. its also going to be larger than your stock wheel/tire combo.

If you want to go with the same setup all around you could go with the 19x8.5 and run the 245/35 tire. It will be roughly the same size as the oem but will work just fine.

I don't know about your offset choices but your front could be as low as probably +35 and still be safe. The rear would have to be about a +44ish or more to give you the ability to not have to roll your fenders.

use that link to play with different tire sizes to find what will work for you
