2 12 inch subs with bose 9 skr ??

I have had my RX8 for 1 year now i bought it new with the 9 skr bose sound system. My friend just gave me 2 12" subs and an amp to match. I was wonder since i already have the 9 skr bose system if it is going to be worth it to install these speakers. I would really love to add more bump but dont want to take away from my initial investment on the bose. Also if anyone has any insight on what type of box to get for 2 12" please let me know.

thanks

Yes, a little bump will help the Bose system tremendously. The problem w/ most 12" subs is the volume of the box required to use them to to their potential will take up most of your trunk. However, since you got them for free, build (or buy) a sealed box w/ about .75cf, add some sound damping foam (or similar) to make it seem bigger & enjoy your low budget bass.

I'm sure there are lots of people that will disagree w/ this advice, but there is something to be said for "free".

hey use the dimensions 14*16*9 and make 2 boxes, then carpet them together. i just made my 12' alpine type-R from that dimension, it fits like a chram.
