could you give me a time for the 0 to 125 mph
the stock rx8 do this in 27,5 sec

I like to see the gain with a turbo rx8

there's online calculators that you plug in vehicle weight, whp, gearing and it will give you the speed times.

just enter the avg base and avg turbo numbers to figure it out.

or you can just imagine what your car would be like with 1/3rd more whp.

an audi S4 well pepared (460 hp) do this in 15-16 seconds ...

 

I would say anywhere between never for a bad turbo setup and instantaneously for something running a starship enterprise turbo. Given that different cars can run +/-200 lbs on weight, and all over the place on hp b/c a lot of non-greddy turbo setups are custom, you could conceivably see all sorts of times. I haven't seen anyone bother to post a time on that particular metric.

 

You're going to need twice what the S4 has.....power in these cars are mediocre. I really like my 8 but damn you Mazda.

 

You might need twice the work, but not twice the horsepower. The S4 is going to weigh more than the 8.

it all depends, what size turbo, how heavy the thing is, gearing, there's alot of things that factor in. If you're just asking how fast a well tuned greddy 8 can do it in well.... i have no clue i know that there are a couple greddy 8s running around that can pull 13's in the 1/4 mile pretty easily, so i guess it would probably take them oh... 16-18 seconds, maybe more??? alot more??? There's a couple guys running around with custum kits with some decent sized turbos, but no acceleration #'s are being posted. I'm sure those 8s and the ones with 20b's in them are pulling some decent times.

 

i will try to do it next time ... i can get to 90 mile (3rd gear) fast.... but have never timed it... but i have to say it wouldn't be anymore that 20...

ok just came in from a run and i have to say i couldn't really get a good hook cuz it is like 40 F here in maryland but the best i have now was a 0-90 in 13 sec wired cuz it was 13.0 anyways i din't have enough road to go to 100+ but it was going up really fast.. i would say i can do it in about 17--19 with good worm tires....

keep in mind i did this with my stop watch i know it is not the 100% i have good but summer rubber...

I think best solution is a well prepared audi s4 or bmw m3 and a "normal cool car" for every days

for information a bmw M3 E36 cost arround 140000 $ the same as audi
I now rx8 is not expensive in usa
in france the rx8 performance pack cost : 45.500 $ !!

 

our 20B RX8's (rgonza and mine) are making 0-100 mph in 8 sec. or a little less,
0-125 mph? sorry we never taked that time...........
