Best motoring. Nismo R34 Z-tune.

I wish Mazdaspeed would take notes from Nismo on this one. I wish There was a special Edition 8 that got this kind of treatment from mazdaspeed. Anyway, amazing car. One of the most amazing cars to ever come out of a dealership... even if it was only 20 of them.

The Z-Tune is freakin ridiculous. You shoudl watch all o fth ebest motoring stuf with it. It usually wins and dominates over M3-CSL's, any flavor of 350Z, Lambro's, Ferraris etc...... It laps Tsukuba in the 55-58 range which is almost as fast as Super GT cars.

Wow. That's an amazing car! I wonder what the new car will be capable of all decked out if it starts out with 450 hp!

its kinda sweet that the car only weighs 3300-3400lbs, the rb26dett is a very heavy engine, much heavier than the VQ35, its pretty tight they keep it that low despite of AWD and pretty big dimensions. on the most recent BMI American Touge II, a R34 won the togue monster tittle from last year's NSX, it pretty much raped everyone

i bet its freakin loud as hell in person. also speed mag (one of the only 6 they published) covered a Ztune r34 and quoted a 10.4 quarter mile time.

it's not too expensive either.

141,978.00 USD

So about the same cost as a lower end RV

If MazdaSpeed did the same sort of thing with the RX-8 and stuffed the same engine from the Le Mans winning 4 Rotor engine...I would cream my pants.

Then it was ousted by an RX-7. It's too heavy of a car for Touge.

i dont think its too heavy of a car for Touge, it beat a lot of lighter cars on its way to win the tittle. I didnt watch the RX-7 race, but its probably a better tuned car for the touge. theres no shame in loosing to the RX-7 and it dosnt take anything away from what it had already accomplished.

It must be a different Touge. Here's the BMI video. It's the Amemiya RX-7 against the R34. The Impreza was the camera car...
