Tein Flex Height Adjustment
I know I am going to sound like a dork here, but here goes...
The way my Teins came, is a tad too low in the front. Is there a way to adjust the height without jacking up the car and removing the wheel? It seems like a major PITA. I was planning on having the height adjusted when I go get cornerbalanced later in the month, but I am afraid I am going to tear off my front Ings+1 bumper before that happens.

you will have to take it off and adjust it. no other way around it. take off the wheels. unbolt the lower control arm from the strut and the bolts up top. and adjust it there. but yes you will have to lift the car and remove the wheels to do it.

Just adjusted the height on my Flex this past week. Definitely as NGO stated, except I also remove the two bolts from the upper A-arm and pivot back the assembly on the lower ball joint. Makes it so much easier to pull out the shock. Just remember to preload the upper A-arm when you lower it back down.
I have not personally seen the RX-8 on Tein Flexes, but why would you have to unbolt the whole strut from the car?
In the past with Honda's I recall just lifting the car high enough to unload the spring and start rotating the perch collars to desired location.
Why is the 8 any different now? Sounds like a receipe for continued alignment jobs whenever you have to raise/lower?

I don't understand why we would have to pull out the whole shock? At worst you may have to disconnect the part that attaches to the wheel to spin it... although I have recently been told that you can just jack up the car, loosen the lower lock nut and then use the bottom of the preload set of lock nuts to spin the middle shaft and raise the car... doesn't necessarily work for lowering though, but you could probably use the upper lock nut and push against the lower to spin it the other way.

after helping my friend install coilovers this past weekend. i was wrong. you still must raise the vehicle and remove the wheels, but yes, you can loosen and rotate the perch collar to change the height. compressing the spring will raise up the car.

The way you are describing is possible yes but you lose travel in the suspension. By taking the spring back out, all of a 5 minute job, and adjusting the height at the bottom instead of the spring perch, as recommended by several reliable sources, you dont lose any suspension travel or put any extra preload on the springs.

Agreed, I was advised to not adjust the spring perch. But rather the lower shock body perch (if you will). If you're going to adjust the lower perch, than removing the shock is the way to go, imo.
