Series 2 w/ manual transmission
Year: 2009
Make: Mazda

There are 12 on Autotrader right now. A decent mix tbh. What features are you looking for? Automatic headlights and heated seats? Or more like a cloth interior and no sunroof? Also what color do you want? You have the option of 2 different silvers, blue, red, and black.
edit: have you seen the black in person yet? It’s amazing. And I don’t like black cars.. but in the sun it’s sparkly. This pic is touched up but a good representation of what it looks like in the sunlight.
Figure out what your must have requirements are and I’m sure you can find the one you want. Or at least post the questions as to what is available and what you’re looking for.

So maybe I'm missing something, but my search on autotrader shows 3. Am I doing it wrong?
https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...&numRecords=25
115k miles for $11k is bonkers. $9200 for 80k is right on, but I'd prefer not black. $13k for 26k miles I already contacted. Sucks that it's so high above market, but 26k miles, sure. I'd have to pay tax + dealer fees on top of that, which sucks. But I'm actively talking to that dealer.
If I'm going for a Series 1, I'll be buying the green 2004 that's in the classifieds here, but I really wanted to see what was out there for a Series 2, since I found so few of them between Autotrader, Cars.com, and CarGurus

On cars.com I have found 3 non overlapping results: https://www.cars.com/for-sale/search...e=saved-search
$6800 for 107k miles, I already inquired about that one. If that passes a compression test with ok results, that one would be a winner
The $15k one is LOL
And the $7500 with 80k is awesome, but black
And the 3 I found on CarGurus, 2 are black, and I've contacted the 3rd ($12k for 90k miles) and they aren't willing to budge on the price. I'd much rather spend $13k for 26k miles for the autotrader one

On your Autotrader search, remove manual transmission and the max price. Lots of times they are mis marked online from dealerships.
what you’re looking for on exterior shots is the spoiler. If it’s not an R3 trim (blue, red, or black) and has a large spoiler. It’s an automatic. If it has a tiny one it is a manual. The tiny one goes along the trunk lid and is flush. No spoiler at all is also an automatic.
Dont pay attention to the prices... some dealers are on crack. For a lower mileage one.. expect around 10k. We’re talking for something around 40-45k miles. When you get to 65-70k miles expect around 6-7k.
R3’s can be a bit on the pricy side simply because it’s the R3. However certain GT comfort features aren’t included. That’s why I would figure out the features you want first. Then find the car. I have a GT I specifically wanted because of the heated seats, auto headlights, rain sensing wipers, and sun roof. For me on a daily that was important. If these aren’t important than a sport model will do the trick. You can always add R3 bits if you want that look. Just takes time. But the series 2 engines and body’s are all the same. Suspensions can be upgraded universally. Ride quality can also be adjusted on each trim with aftermarket suspension.

If you’re willing to go for “body and no motor for $2k” given your theoretical plans, no reason to limit your search to an S2 unless you really prefer the looks (I personally prefer the S1 looks). All the other stuff that was changed would be pretty much irrelevant.

Hey I haven't been on the forum in a while. I've been thinking about selling my 2009 Crystal White Pearl Toruring. It's got 67000 miles. I'm the original owner and had a few posts on here through the years. I love the car but I bought a motorcyle two and a half years ago and barely drive the 8 nowaday and someone recently crashed into my truck and totaled it so I'm thinking about downsizing to just a truck and bike.
It's got a bunch of upgrades and R3 wheels. I haven't even thought of an asking price yet that's what brought me back to the forums to see what would be a fair asking price. I live in California. Let me know if you think you'd be interested and how soon. I was thinking about selling it after winter but could maybe move it up depending. I could write a whole essay on this car lol. No accidents too.

I agree you a bit short on your price. Having been in the market for a long time and finally got one this summer 2010 with 13k and it was the best deal I found in a while and was not the only one waiting at the dealer for it. Lucky I drove from mich to Kentucky so I got first option. Mine was $13,800

If it's not too late, I actually am in these forums to get a feeler for my 2009 R3.
Brilliant Black, only sold in that color in 2009.
Around 62K miles and I am the second owner. Bought it in 2011 with about 20K miles. Never tracked.
It's lowered on springs but I still have the stock springs and I can arrange to have the stock ones put on if requested.
Let me know.
