To tell if it's bose, it will say bose on the door tweeters, and you will have a small silver amp in the middle of the rear deck looking in the trunk.

To check radio version "head unit's software code: Power the radio on, then press and hold the text and preset 1 buttons at the same time (you might need to start pressing the text button slightly before the preset 1 button). The Software version should be in the display. '04 vers. 9.40/9.50/9.53/9.55, and '05 ver. 9.67 (poss. SAT compatible"
