Upper Intake Manifold Parts
Category: Engine - Intake/Fuel
Price: $1
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): Series I
Location (US State/Canada/Int): RI
Item Condition: New
- Bolts that goes from the Upper Intake Manifold to the Lower intake manifold I need x2 bolts
These are the bolts from the lower plastic part of the UIM that separates from the rest of the UIM, and are the outter intake tracks of the 4. I think they are all the same bolt for all UIM to LIM connections, but I am specifying just in case they aren't I have 1 stripped and just extracted another that I snapped off during UIM re-installation over a year ago. I am thinking that it's my vacuum leak point.
- 1 of the vacuum hose L joints that attaches to the intake accordion. (seen sticking out the right side of the accordion here:
I snapped it trying to remove one of the vacuum hoses.
Willing to pay shipping + $5-10 for the bolts and the vacuum hose L joint. If someone has them. With the 8s around being parted out, I'm sure someone does.

The Professor
I'm pretty sure they have the L joint at a local autozone. The bolts are pretty easy to find at a local hardware store I had to replace some myself due to them getting lost.

Only nearby auto-parts store is Advance, and they had no idea what I was even talking about. Of course, when I mentioned I was disassembling my UIM for cleaning, he dragged me to the paints section and grabbed a can of paint off the shelf and did that knowing "i'm cool for knowing this" smirk and told me to pressure wash them coat with that...
Had to clarify that I was cleaning the INSIDE...you know, where it mattered
I was pondering the bolts from Lowes, but it's often hard to get the right thread pitch + width + length, so figured I would check this route real quick. If I ever have to get warranty work on the engine, I could see Mazda making a fuss over the wrong bolts being in there if they are obviously not OEM.

You will be better off buying those from a dealer or an online Mazda parts seller, they are inexpensive and not worth anyones time to dig up and ship to you, I'm sure that I have them but the gas and time to go dig them out of the box in storage will be more than the cost of buying them new.
