On any given weekend, there are more Mazdas on the road-race tracks of America than any other brand of vehicle.

Haha, actually there were 12 Mazdas in my running group. (20 total in 1 group)
3 FCs, 3 RX-8s, 3 Miatas, 2 Mazda 6s and 1 FD lol




Well, despite the sunroof giving me 1 inch less of headroom making me kinda have to slouch a bit to drive, but yeah, this gives me a place to mount the camera so I can get a glimpse of my mistakes.

This is why you DO NOT pop the clutch out in a corner. Do your shifting work before it lol

Gee... I NEED to work on my shifting indeed Got a hell lot better at the end of the session lol. See that's what simulator does to you when ur just driving cars with paddle shifts

Nice. And don't worry, driving my Mx6 I've got a video of me doing the fastest 180 of my life because I tapped the brakes mid transfer between two corners. Very stupid mistake looking back at it, haha. But you get better, especially when you're actually getting out there.

Keep it up, there's tons of fun to be had. I can't wait to get my Rx8 out for some events myself.

Woah, for some reason, I felt the engine's more alive than ever this morning and, and, and much smoother? Am I imagining things or did my car just got the stretch it much needed during the event?

 

You probably aren't. Doing the track day allowed you to push the engine harder for a longer amount of time, ultimately allowing you to burn off the carbon build up in the engine. That's most likely why it's smoother now, which is a good thing.

 

Agreed. Enjoy the "new" performance. Should be incentive to redline it a few times a week.

 

Yea Nopstnz8, that's what I figured lol... Supergoat, I do redline it couple times a week, but again I was redlining it for 80 minutes last Saturday lol.

Very jealous Dezau! That track is on my bucket list. It is an expensive track from what I have seen and quite a drive for me but I will drive it one day.

Oh and my car never drives better than the week following a track weekend

 

just watched your vids. Did that group not run the banking plus typical infield layout? Thats the one I want to do so bad!

 

Nope! Just the infield, i was in the HPDE(PDX) event for 90 bucks, club racing goes to the oval, but... uh I think u'd need a racing license for that.
