That's the homepage. They're in Roswell, GA. They've got an oval and a road course. It's all indoor. Open until 1AM on Friday and Sat. They're rates are $18.

Hey, that looks like a blast! Let me know when you want to go some weekend. If my son is home from college I may want to take him too.

I think we (well me) want to check out the track. I heard some interesting things about some brutal bumps coming from the inside track out (or the other way around, I forget) and would like to see it in action before I subject my everyday driver to it. Heck, for all I know, it could be just rumors. Additionally, earning credit toward future NASA events. It's still gonna be a hoot of a weekend!

My buddy just signed up to drive. He's got a WRX and finally made it to one of our autocrosses. Now he's hooked and can't wait to go to this event. Too bad I won't be able to pass him. I'll have to do that at the next Road Atlanta event since this is now like a couple lines of coke to him. He'll also be in HPDE2 by then.

I've assimilated another. Resistance IS futile!

Still working on spending $$$ on my miata (My list: RB exhaust & mid pipe, RB intake, FM Springs or GC coilovers, racing seats).

So I am out on spending any real $$$ until around august probably except for autocrosses.

But...
If you gus are doing Andretti, it's very close to where I live and I would love to try out their new track. BTW, it's now been sold to the andretti family, who were there recently to sign autographs and such.

I am in Charlotte for the weeek so tonight I went to Victory Lane Karting. Had a blast. Their carts are pretty fast and their course has some fast curves and lots of slow hairpins. It takes some skill to keep momentum. I went for some fast laps and had some fun doing wild rally style drifts where you put the nose against the inside guardrail and keep it there as you slide the rear of the cart around the corner. It isn't the fastest way around the course (by about 2 seconds) but it sure is fun. I ended up with a best lap of 33.82 while the track record is 31.12

Cool! I grew up in Charlotte and my parents are still there. Let me know next time you're going to be there I'll come up that weekend.

Next time I'm there I'm going carting too.

Hey all,

For those of us working/driving this event, there are some special room rates available (details on the NASA SE event site). The rates are only good until May 6. Is anyone staying there around the track? Lego, is the better half coming? Anyone interested in splitting a suite? What's the plans for Friday night? Saturday night? Sunday after the event? We gonna go cart racing? This is gonna be a hoot (once again)! Only four weeks away!

Unfortunately the better half is going to Disney World with her twin sister. Almost makes me want to forgo the NASA event to see Mickey. She's got a board meeting at the Contemporary Resort. Poor her.

Can't wait to go to the event. I'm going to hate not driving though.

Need some advise..... I have the ability to get the SR Midpipe and High Flow Cat for a decent price. I didn't want to do anything to the car, but I thought it was a decent deal and have heard about the gains from the midpipe. Any advice????

Charles Hill is the man to ask on that one. He's running the midpipe. It'll be a little louder....

Lego,
I am sitting on the edge of doing it -- the only thing holding me back is money. It is easily installed, or taken off, if you ever need to.

If I were you, I'd go with the deal you are looking into, as it is a good price. Let us know what you decide.

Just met Charlie

I sould have the intake and flywheel done by then and would love to meet someone in Ga. that has the high flow cat with the stock exhaust b4 then. BabyGirl can't be to loud to hear Nabil, comming....or going. I know it's a wierd setup...but my 8 will never be louder that 15 on the stock radio...know what I mean? Who has some ideas for the exhaust? Not trying to take over the thread......

I'll be at the track with the White 8, DRIVING.

Nabil...you still in?

Next time I'm on the track driving I've got the best sticker for the back of the car. I'll have to get it in vinyl so it'll stick but I can take it off.

"YOU'VE JUST BEEN PASSED BY A 1.3L"

It'll really get to the bigger block folks that we pass in our cars! We got to all get signs.

like the sticker for real. I am afraid i cant make the event it is my sons 18th birthday. Time for hooters!
Next on maybe.
High flow and midpipe is about the only thing remaininng to do engine wise(without FI of course). Im a going to wait on that one until my warrenty expires. I now have enough power to where i have to learn to drive the car again.
Maybe brake upgrade for me and more suspension.
