The '07 - '08 are the same as the '04 - '06.
Only '09 got a new pump.

 

Bump. Need extra fuel pump assemblies to test on. With or without fuel pumps.

That will work out well as I'm getting other parts next week to and will be ripping into the car.

Do you have any detailed information, or a resource about the fuel pump assembly and the siphon pickup in the right side? I'm looking to find out how the how assembly functions specifically. Like the extra pieces in the fuel bowl..

Also, anyone have any spare siphon pickup assemblies from the passenger side? After some feedback from certain people, starting to wonder if I have a bad siphon that's adding more complication to my issues.

^ I already have the upgraded pump. But I need a new siphon. And a whole fuel pump assembly for more mad experimenting. C'mon people. Anyone with any spare parts laying around, pm me!

 

Its likely that I have already absorbed most of the available used pumps.

At this point, it would appear that I am the resource.
I haven't seen any other comprehensive examinations of the assembly.

How that individual parts work is outlined in my thread (referenced above by a previous poster).
I can probably add some detail about the siphon pickup and the science behind it, but I don't know that I really care enough to explain it.

The passenger side is fool-proof.
There is nothing to fail over there.

But I still need another siphon as mine is toast. I drilled to far up inside and my siphon is now a return line to the right side saddle.

Yeah, that is the issue.
Sealing the pop-off is a better solution. I toasted a few siphons myself before I got it right.

MM, did you find a spare siphon? I am wondering as its getting really close to the cut off for shipping it to me so I can have it friday to install it for the track weekend on sat and sun. And if not, then I need to make other arrangements.
