Esmeril Racing RX-8 Ignition Upgrade
Well call me a no0b but I did 3 searchs and could not find any info on this kit
So is anyone running this kit? If so what do you think about it?
Any insight as to why I should go with this set up one over the Mazsport.net Ignition upgrade kit?

Try seaching for over 30min for a diagram of the plug wire locations!!! I feel totally frustrated with my lack of suffering abilities, can somebody cool out there please post a comprehensive lay out of the wiring for the plugs on my 05??? please and thank you

It takes two inklings to make an clue and i'll sleep better tonight knowing that my plugs will spark because you guys saved the day, thanks to you all. And thank you rx8 club for existing. . .
Question spining this tread back onto subject; would a turbo'd 8 have flooding issues or even "better" yet, ignition deficiencies? The underlaying problem being an OEM ignition system? Would the stock catalys compound this effect due to back pressure? Is my O2 sensor possibly junked? Proper tuning still needs to be verified perhaps, but my 8 seems to be hungry for some attention, and I am the only one at the moment that can let its crys be heard. I don't know as to why my 8 (witch is still technicly not mine yet) isn't idling properly. My MAF sensor has been cleaned and new rx7 plugs have been installed yet my 8 is still angry at the world for some reason witch almost seems out of my interceptor-X's control. I fear my new undriven by me 100k renises is just a reincarntion of my dead 87NA rip...
On the flip side of this thought, adding more power to my spark would create a hotter burn? I heard of new spark plugs out in production called pulse plugs witch utilize an internal capacitor to amp up the discharge of the pulse by over 20 000x the output of a stock plug. Does anybody know if thoses plugs are applicable to our mazdas and if so, would such an efficient combustion be of any benifit besides horse power and fuel effiency gains? A pesimist might think that adding such an ignition set up could possibly led to higher exaust temperatures and ultimitly a catalyst failure or worse yet apex altrications!?

My interceptor-x idled really terribly with my turbo setup until I put in my ignition upgrade. Now its much improved idling. I don't know the logic behind it. This is all with base map, no professional tuning, so I don't know if proper tuning with the OEM coils could have potentially been able to fix it.

the stock ones dont last that long. they may keep the car running for that long, but they sure as hell dont stay anywhere near peak performance that long
some of them may indeed last that long, though i think its more that you havent noticed it. it seems all to common at tuning days that a car goes on the dyno only to find out that their coils are practically shot and they didnt even know it.
Power wise for N/A gains aren't huge but throttle and overall response improve significantly. Reliability wise it is a great investment. The car will run cleaner and the coils will out last the stock ones by a great margin. The stock ones only last a few years and they need replacing, you'll go through a few sets in the life of the car.
