Several people have apparently tried to graft on all sorts of goodies to the PCM with all sorts of problems. What started as a topic regarding the engine manglement ended up going off on a tangent about how best to get at the PCM.

To continue that topic and consolidate that discussion this thread has been started.

As a software person I am attempting to collect all information to see if it is even possible to "crack" the PCM and make our own modifications.

Step 1: Collect Intel on our "target"
Step 2: Discuss
Step 3: PROFIT!!! (j/k)

Feel free to chime in.

I am still hoping that someone can provide me the firmware image for the PCM without me having to mess around with my daily driver. Hopefully we can reverse engineer or decompile the image so that we can better understand the inner workings of our vehicles.

As everything is migrating to technology it seems only fitting that software guru's need to be called in to help out the auto guru's.
