ZUMN: it was probably all the stickers that put him over the top. We all know how awesome stickers are
My vote would have been to the reigning champion NgoRX8. Custom HKS turbo ftw.

09Factor: I'm not very good at this whole "following instructions" concept so I started my own picture thread.

Chelechuce: Its NGORX8's - Danny, just as Jedi posted.
EDIT:
Jedi: Hands Down. I texted and asked several people throughout the day on "who do you think won best RX8"... even people whos 8 was in the courtyard. They all said "Danny- NGORX8"
But in the end- thats just a piece of glass with letters on it. We all know whos the Best RX8. They need to have a different voting system for SS, let each Rotary Generation vote for its own. There is only 1 entrance to the courtyard/show area. Each rotary car entering should be handed a colored ticket for its generation rotary (SE3P, FD, FC, FB, RX3, RX2, Rotary Truck, etc.) and have boxes into which one can cast their vote.
I met some new to SS RX8 owners that were in the pre-stage lot and they were all going GAGA over Dannys car....

Hell at this point if my 8 even ran, plus all the work done, it's not ready to show.
not at SevenStock at least. This is where the Best Rotary's come to show and compete with one another for the Trianglar Clear Best Of... Award
Didn't we at one time vote for a a peoples favorite?

09: haha, I knew you'd see my way of thinking.
we did used to vote and for a second, I thought we'd be doing that again this year considering the main lot passes all had numbers on them.

Seriously, zip ties pink, red, orange what ever the f#ck does not belong, that shyts crap! Cracked bumpers, f#cked up body kits dont belong at a show. I appreciate all the people that spent the time on getting their rides up and ready! For Christs sake atleast wash your cars! You know who you are! No wonder all the old school rotary guys(rx2/ rx3/ FD &FC) talk **** about the rx8's. Im not defending RX8's anymore. Again, big shout out to those who brought out their A games!!

I knew they were new! I looked at it over and over .... I was like ok I know about the Intake Manifold, and the piping looks to be polished (dont remember it being polished), and then i kept staring at the clamps.... thats when i was like..... just when I thought he had ran out of things to do. His exhaust is
.. no, it was the fact that he spelled ROTARY 'ROTORY' in the sign. The fact that he and his wife thought they were the only R3 their and that supposedly that was the reason they were chosen for courtyard was fail as well. There were 2 other R3 Aurora Blues.
The car being a Mazdaspeed and not an R3 or Series 2, Ill let him slide on that because I doubt there are any die casts of those models just yet, in that scale size.

see the little swirly figure on the top of the C pillar?
That's the Iannetti Logo and its not there ONLY for the seals those 3 cars are also running exhausts built by Iannetti. Whereas other teams even in grand am can go through an exhaust system every race, SpeedSource goes 6 races. I was told that when the cars come off the track you can almost put your hand on the mufflers.

Saturday morning I went down to the restaurant in the hotel for breakfast. I sat down to eat right next to this young Japanese guy in a Mazda shirt. After eating for a bit we introduced ourselves and made small talk about where we were from and what cars we had- he drives a 2nd gen RX-7. talked for probably half an hour
2-3 hours later Berny is introducing Hayato to everyone else
Hayato Kato Joined Mazda in 2006 as a Rotary Engine engineer. He is one of 60 people in the Rotary engine team at Mazda. His first project was the Series II RX-8 engine and he now works full time and full tilt on the 16x. His main work is oiling systems and a bit of the intake and emissions. Spent a good amount of time talking with him off and on throughout the day and at dinner. Great guy glad he's on the team. He came came from Hiroshima on his own dime and went home with one of the 7stock banners.
The other banner is going to Japan as well for Koby, who for the first time since #4 missed a 7stock. We'll see you next year Koby.
I know everyone is enthralled at 7stock with all the great cars, and there were some awesome things to see Saturday- but this is why I go to 7stock. I've now got a friend who is an engineer on the 16x.
I bounced from a conversation with Francesco Ianetti, to a conversation with Sylvain Tremblay, To a conversation with Hayato, To a conversation with John- the guy that wrenched this car while it was driven by Patrick Bedard
To talking with Sara and Adam Burgess (Sara has a kick *** accent) of the BMI 4 rotor drifting car, to Dr Kiljoy holding the the trophies hostage(I've got pics- or rather he does since it was his camera) until Calvin and Team SpeedSource rescued them. To hanging with Paul and his Fantastic Friend- who coined the term Mazdout Saturday. To hanging with BHR and Socal guys and gals and AZ crew. I even got a ride with Ray.
Reminder- in case a delightful , charming young woman ever asks if you want to see her jump rope tricks. Your answer is yes.
Some of you may have wondered " Where is the Furai?" ............
Just one question- where the heck was NYCGPS? we spent hours trying to find him amongst all the other gabbing and nary a hair on his head did we see.
O did you guys see the red anodized strut bar? there is only 2 in existence- I met the person who built them and you all saw his car- the injen intake tube with the RB box.... He might be making me one of those braces. His car makes 223 to the wheels and I cant tell you everything he told me but that injen tube is not the production tube. He left a little more in it than the production tubes, just in case
I know Hayato and the rest of the Rotary team in Hiroshima are working as hard and as fast as they can- Im hoping that in 3 years we can call it Sevenstock 1.6

pdxhak: I agree, it was painful to look at that thing.
I should have take a picture of the 50mm spacers he had on!
