yep, idk how long it'll be whens it's paid off, but when that days comes i'll be well over 100k on my engine and hopefully could afford to buy a different car as my DD.

No, it would be the 6,000 mile round trip for me: A week + off work, around $1,000 in gas (~315 gallons), ~3 gallons of oil, a trio of oil filters, etc... Though I would add a ton of canyon drives and PCH in the mix as well, so it would go up from there.

But then again, I find that idea appealing

Yeah, I know. The total trip is on my bucket list. Once I get my house sorted out, I should be able to swing the money any time. Then the only issue left is the wife. Catch-22 there. I wouldn't enjoy myself if she was along keeping the lateral Gs to something a dump truck can handle and complaining of car sickness and sores after the first 30 minutes, but then I wouldn't enjoy dealing with her anger at me getting to see all that without her

But yeah, I'm doing it. When is the only real question...
