This year's SevenStock is going to KICK ***!!! I think the RX-8 community is really going to show up in full force; we've made a lot of progress since SS X in the tuning / FI field and I'm sure there's more to come!

Can't wait for this year's event.

Imagine a huuuuugggeee autox. -> How many runs would you really expect to get? Would certainly be hard to keep organized well too.

Drift is the most entertaining to watch imo; either that or a drift event for owners to participate in, drags seems to go faster than drift. Rx8-ers wouldn't be happy though lol

Yay, this is going to be my third SevenStock! I can't wait.

 

The crappy part about every show I've gone to with drifting is I seem to spend the next week cleaning the inch of tire rubber off my paint. Besides, I'm sure we'd see much more action with a Auto X event or Time Trials.

I had a blast at Sevenstock X and it was my first major rotary event. Having racing would be awesome since it was lonely being stuck all the way in the back of the parking lot. I'd certainly race over showing.

 

I was in the very front and I can see myself next to my car in the magazines that covered SSX.

 

Oh sure rub it in! I think I can see my hood and a fender through someone's windshield! I was so close!

 

I'm hoping to be in the very front again this SevenStock.

I would hate to see it change - yes I would like for more vendors to be there but with Cali's stupid sales tax laws I don't foresee much on top of the table commerce ongoing. If Bernie and the So-Cal Rotary Club are gracious enough to have it again this will be my 5th year and in spite of being in Cali, is one of the high points of the year in my book. Being held at Mazda HQ assures that Corporate will contribute what they can. Is there any place that even allows open competition near Irvine? I think not but someone may know and be willing to sponsor a Sunday event.

 

+1 for keeping it at MNAO headquarters.

 

Jedi, I see no reason that a Sunday motoring event could not held, but is there anywhere in the area that a event could be held? How about you OC boys sponsoring something in conjunction with So Cal?

Drifting is out of the question. Auto X maybe, if you get lucky from Irvine City hall.
Still an insurance issue. And idiots will hit the cones and blame the damage on MNAO Seven Stock.
