Fillup, 68,044, 13.31 gallons
Posting from my laptop now instead of the phone, since the time-lapse is dead anyway.
And I had to post this....

...and in the parking lot there was a drunk redneck (his words, not mine, but I agree with him, the 2 open beers in his lap were a decent hint) in a big red pickup that was asking how fast the 8 is, if I wanted to race him in his truck, because he would just run over me.

I was just giving the GPS estimations....not our actual estimated time. We are doing um, a bit faster than that.
When I posted that we were a bit over 23 hours from Providence, according to that...after about 21 hours of driving. So.....
I can do 1 better.....PM incoming.

Haven't mentioned 8 sightings or comments yet:
4 RX-8s seen so far, all 4 in Indiana, all 4 headed east. A guy in a BB with A/P that didn't glance over, a WB on a car hauler, a WB with A/P driven by an older woman, no glance, and a non A/P TG that the driver did a double-take.
Sitting in traffic in MO mentioned earlier, a guy in a mercedes suv pulled up next to us and asked us if we were in a competition. Tempting to mess with him with things like "yeah, in a cross country race where the winner is the one who collects the most $100 bills from other drivers", or something. But just told him what it was.

THIS is how you pave a freakin road....

...and that is just the last ~1/3rd of the train that I caught on camera spinning around to take it. The pavement at the rear was literally about a 18 inches higher than the pavement at the front.

RIWWP: Those guys aren't messin' around.
Here in CA, you'd see 4 lanes closed, 87 trucks, 1,950 orange cones, 1 truck doing work, and 112 workers sitting down on the side of the road 'inspecting' or "on lunch" and then 7 months later the project would be suspended for lack of public funds with only 10% of it being finished.
