If you're not on RB's mailing list here's their latest. It appears there will NOT be an open house this year following SS8 but they will have their show room open. What's the difference? I suspect as a business they incur a huge liability in opening their doors to us. We must remember that they are a business and not an entertainment venue. One serious incident at such an event would be unfortunate for a few, entainment to many and disasterous for RB. I'm sure all they need is a lawsuit and the city pulling thier license because of the poor judgement of a few. So, my take, let's give them the respect they have earned and police ourselves on Sunday. If you feel the need to get rowdy and reckless there are certainly more appropriate places.

Mark your calendar for the "must see" upcoming 8th Annual Sevenstock event on October 8th. Each year Mazda USA throws open the doors of their Irvine, CA research and design facility for an all-out rotary party. See hundreds of rotary vehicles, race cars, historical vehicles, new designs, Vendor Alley, and more!! Stop by the Racing Beat tent and say "Hi".

Racing Beat-sponsored RX-8 drag racing superstar Abel Ibarra will be visiting the Racing Beat tent and signing autographs during the event. Abel's Toyo Tires RX-8 will be on display in the main courtyard and will be the featured attraction at the engine "fire-up" demonstration. Around midday, most of the cars in the courtyard are started and revved for the pumped-up rotary crowd. The sound is ear shattering as Abel's 1000+ HP 3-rotor engine bounces off of the rev limiter and the exhaust echoes off of the concrete walls! It is a must see and hear event for any rotary enthusiast!

Sunday October 9th - The Day After Sevenstock

Unlike prior years, we will not be hosting an open house the day after the Sevenstock event. We decided to take a year off and concentrate our efforts on the MANY on-going projects that we are currently working on.

But, we do have some good news! We have decided to open our show room on Sunday, October 9th from 9:00-2:00 so out-of-town visitors and local enthusiasts can stop by and visit our facility. Our staff will be on hand to speak with you regarding your car and offer suggestions on upgrades and performance modifications. As an added bonus, we will be offering a 10% discount on Racing Beat products to visitors that stop by!*
