Wait a second, they had food there? Where? Not no hot dog cart was it?

Have In N Out bring a few of their trucks, sell tickets (charge slightly more... since it's kinda like a fundraiser type deal), wait in line, present ticket, get a burger... etc etc.

Have Subway, premade sandwiches, etc.. sell...

There was a food vendor trailer there all day!! Right at the entrance to Vendor midway!

We working on different food options!! We are talking to several food vendors, including In-N-OuT... but the requirements are big though! In-N-Out can only be available for 1.5 hours, and after that it's a $100 a HALF hour, beyond the food sales. So, there are challenges. We are working on it though.

Feeding 5000 peeps is easier said than done!

Plus, it's only like 10 minutes from my house :D

And, if all goes well, I'll definitely have my RX8 by then :D

I'm sure if Mazda uses their leverage... for instance, calls In N Out, and say they are having this event, could promote both franchises, I'm sure they would work something out

Could have a catering type deal... charge food, make a little profit.

Honestly I didn't even see any food being sold... must have been Rotary Blindsided...

Nevertheless, if there were food, it would have to be away from everyone's car's and Mazda HQ so no trash will be all over the place. How about around the corner where people were parking, in that area, designate a food vendor place... Or if no RC race thing, then have the food location there...

Was the RC thing successful? Personally I glanced at it, and didn't really care much for that... :P

Damn bro... you sure have a lot to say eh?? I'm glad we have you around to give input... who knows where we would be without you :D :D just messing with you my man! Thanks for caring actually!! Input is always welcome!

All kidding aside, we are pursuing all angles and leveraging everything we can, don't worry! The food vendor location has never been an issue and will not be this year, so we got this covered also. We are looking at more clearly marked trash cans and more restrooms!

The RC thing was HUGELY successful and will be back again!

Food Vendor was right in front of Racing Beat and next too the MazdaTrix booths.... see pic... I think you did go ROTARY blind... it happens to all at their first SevenStock :D so MUCH to see!

Dude....we handed out event programs WITH a venue map, to every car that entered the show. I'm sure you left yours in the car!! There were also signs around the venue.

Here is what the map looked like, so you can see all the stations on it... including the 10 port-a-pottie restrooms.

Hey Bern. i am sure you have been told this a million times. but Thanks to you and your team for getting this together again. :D

there is no doubt in my mind that this is a lot of work to put together. and thanks for making it free. not that i am a cheap bastarrd, but i know 2 years ago i was and there was no way i could have went 2 years ago if it wasnt free. :p

i have been to the last two seven stocks and i plan on being to everyone you have after this. It truly is an amazing site to see.

Is the 787 going to be there agin?
Able Ibarra? (spelling)
Racing Beats salt flat cars?
other well known race cars? (didnt think you wanted me to name every single one of them.)

ok this is long enough, just wanted to say thanks! :D

Random thought:

Since fellow rotary enthusiasts will be joining us from all parts of the country (most of which we've NEVER met) how cool would it be if we could have some kind of name tag with our forum names on them?!

Maybe even with a picture of our avatars?

I know this is a free event and there probably isn't a budget for it but I for one wouldn't mind making one at home...
Would anyone else consider this? (so I'm not the only retard with a name tag on) :o

P.S. Never been to SevenStock so if this has been done in the past, I apologize for the unoriginal thought.

The closest thing we had was meeting at the booth for the RXtuner Mag booth, and introducing ourselves. It was a decent grouping, and we even had a group pic shot in the Quad area... Wonder who has that pic. :P

But name tagging people wouldn't be a bad idea... but it would look mighty dorky for us that have it, and the ones that don't would think we are dorks.

At least I'm not the only one who thinks this might be a decent idea. (thanks Outlaw)

Yeah, the dork factor could be a major issue for some people...

Hmm, how to pull this off?

Also remember that all the other Rotary dorks from the many other Rotary forums are thinking the same thing, so there might be a bunch of dorks with name tags from all kinds of Rotary forums in attendance!! Dorks UNITE!!! :D

The reason I hate FORUM NAMES!...

The only thing I can think of is to have the users on the forum to wear a RX8club shirt, then just ask each other what our names/screenames are.

Even though I'm planning to wear one of my older Sevenstock shirts... hmm

I can bring a baloon machine, hand out Bright Yellow/Pink balloons with the website's logo on it, and give it to the members... then each member can write their names/screenames on the baloon. Even from far away, someone will see..."Hey it's MikeB"...
