Well the Pirellis feel nice n' buttery, the steering is lighter too which I love.. I think I broke a hubcentric ring on the back I heard a crack as i was tightening the first lug to get the rim against the hub. Blast! Why aren't these things metal? Cheap bastards. And the tire pressure light isn't intrusive in the least!

Guess I should think about some winter tires also. Any suggestions for those of us who only want to buy tires and not new rims?

Got my Blizzak snow tires on in time for winter. Quirk in Quincy, MA put these on at the same time they fixed my MIAC noise. First R3 with 17's! Bought these from a guy on here mounted to these wheels, lots of tread left (he claims only 1500 miles, and it looks it). Not a big fan of the wheels, (especially 17's on an R3) but they fit, the price was right, and now i'll be able to clean up my original wheels. I don't really want to drive this in the winter at all, but I can't count on my van working flawlessly (it hasn't ever broken down yet, but it's 24 years old so i can't count on perfection) and my attitude is i'd rather be prepared and not need it then unprepared and screwed.

Also the ride quality is quite improved from the nice squishy sidewalls, and the increased tire roar isn't too bad.

Lookin good, yea i def am getting a squishier ride too hahaha. The thing is, careful on those twisties, these dont grip that nicely on dry pavement :-p. I like to do my daily redline on the street that leads up to my apartment, and its a bit turny, and i felt that back in start to kick and screetch lolz. I am still waiting for it to friggin snow here, i could have still been using my regular tires!

lol yeah, I plan on takin it real easy because these blizzaks are pretty soft and i don't want to wear them out too quickly. Plus the crashing thing, i don't want to crash.

i had my first tail slide out a little moment today. I was driving quite slow around corner (like 10-15mph in 2nd and when i stepped on the gas (slightly, not even half) and it started to slide but not enough for the stability control to kick in. Still a bit surprizing.
