So I was thinking, could it be making noise if the hubcentric ring isn't seated firmly? I wouldn't think so but maybe others have had more experience with that. The spacers are two piece, the spacer and the hubcentric ring. The ring itself fits into the spacer very snug, and also sits on the hub very snug as well. When i installed the spacer i tried to put the ring and the spacer on at the same time, I tried pushing the ring in the best I could, but I assumed that when I started to torque down the wheels, the ring would start sliding back... bad assumption?

The spacers with the separate rings are a pain, I suggest using grease on the inside and outside of the ring, and tap them in with a rubber mallet, that should fix the noise if that is the issue.

well, i took off the rears ... gave them a good cleaning, reapplied some lithium grease, added a dab of loctite blue to each thread , slid the ring on, tapped it in nice and snug, slid the spacers on, torqued to 85, slid the tires on, torqued to 100 ... drove around ... and ... then ....it ... seems .... to be ... fixed ... o...m...... KNOCK KNOCK, FRUK!

I toyed with the idea of "what if i am rubbing in the rear ...." but then i thought to myself, that this happens on very slow bumps, ... when i hit the big drops on the highway or street, no noise ... I also bounced the trunk up and down with my hands ... no noise ... so i cant be rubbing. Checked the fender walls ... no indication of rubbing, paint is smooth and clean with no traces of rubber.

Stressing the wheel bearings??

Should i just take these off to be safe?

Does the sound come from only one side or both sides? It's not the spacers, if something was wrong with those you'd get a constant rumble.

to be honest it comes from all over LOL. Part of me wonders if it is the endlinks ... its that type of noise. They could have regained some slack from the constant jacking up and down of the car. Granted I unlinked only the LCA point on one side of the rear, and reinstalled when fully planted on the ground.

Nah, many have used 25mm spacers without issue and my wheel bearings have over 127,000 miles on them. so this is only over slow bumps? Hoss-05's had a similar knock and it actually ended up being the collars needed tightening on the Stance. It may be just a coincidence that this is happening after the spacer install.

I actually checked the collars when i was reinstalling today thanks for mentioning it though. And i figured that the 25mm were fine, its not like its giving an odd offset to the wheels. As I said above while you were typing, maybe its the damn endlinks ... I swear i have those ******* torqued down to 50ftlbs

How about unbolt endlinks & drive around and see if noise goes away? Or like you said, unbolt the rear spacers and check that?

ok, i am not recommending evo-r endlinks to anyone....

this is the second time i have cracked the endlink screw because of the weak allen socket, and now the ******* nut wont come off.... I gotta wait till tomorrow so that I can go to the store and get something to cut this god damn thing off. Blah, .... any suggestions other than getting a mini hacksaw from harborfreight?

at least it will give me a chance to drive around with the swaybar disconnected.

I have heard they suck. Sounds like your problem. Get some Whiteline endlinks or the ones from Goodwin racing.

which ones from goodwin, the awr or the powergrid.

Hrmm...just looked at the whiteline, really like the construction on those. Gunna search here to see what people think. Thanks for the tips buddy, I gave evo-r a holler, they have a 2yr warranty so hopefully I can just get a replacement and sell them or something.

edit: looks like a lot of good stuff about AWR here, again thanks for the tips man, gunna do some more reading and probably order a set so that I can maybe have them by the weekend.

FYI i think i am going to stick with the evo-r endlinks, looks like they gained some slack in the front as I heard the noise when i tried tightening my driver side endlink. Couldn't get a good amount of torque on it though from the position I had, I will probably throw it on stands this weekend to tighten them. (and before anyone says anything, dont worry, they were mounted with the car planted, I understand you don't put endlinks on with the car in the air)

I have a brand new set of whitelines front and rear for Hoss-05's car in the garage and they are very sweet.

yea i read a bunch of good things, i just can't spend the ~300 to snag a set when the evo-r's are "ok" heh, especially since I haven't had the pleasure in taking some track lessons to really understand the difference. I am sure once I get everything torqued back down I should be kosher.

Yeah I have not gotten around to a front sway bar and adjustable end links but it's on my short list.

If you leave them off does the clunk disappear?

my only concern with ordering the whitelines is that they use the same spherical bearing that the evo-r use
