5.38 final drive
There is a 5.38 final drive option for the 94-2004 kia sportage front differential. IT is currently being used by Miata off roaders for the 33" tire option on Pacomotorsports.com located in Kentucky, They also offer it on Honda s2k's for autocrossing.
I saw a video on facebook with one RX8 with a set of 5.38. Has anyone else seen this video? Or can you forward it to this thread. I am looking at updating my final drive on my 2010 Rx8 GT 6sp MT.
What does everyone think? Nobody was intersted in the aftermarket Series II section.

I'd be curious about how much it helps with performance.
If you are talking about 0~60, then it might not help as much because with the stock setup, the second gear just barely gets to 60mph. Shorter gears will warrant another shift just to get to 60mph.
If you mainly track your car, go for it, but as a daily driver I wouldn't consider this.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I am mainly looking to get in contact with the person who has already installed it. He posted a video of it on Jason Goodes facebook page Jason also has another page called Grewvin tuning. He was racing it on a circuit track showing off his 5.38.

I'm not sure what you're getting at about the Miata and S2k. They have a different ring gear than the RX8 and the front sportage ring gear won't work on the RX8.
There are options for changing the RX8 to a really high final drive ratio. V8Roadsters and LS1rx8.com both make IRS Ford 8.8 conversions that will let you run up to a 5.71 with aftermarket gears. Sikky makes a quick change rear conversion as well that'll give you whatever ratio you want.

Thanks for the feedback,
I found the guy on Facebook. He actually has a S1 with custom built 5.8:1 from Australia. I will attach his videos.
