Wiring Loom rubbing on Alloy Engine Mount Bracket
Look, this is no biggie, and was meaning to post this info some time ago.
What I have notice during my last service was a rubbing Wiring Loom on the LH Engine Mount's Alloy Bracket.
The easiest way to check this is by removing Left Wheel.
There is a small Wiring Loom that runs vertically up and roughly opposite the middle Iron Housing between your Spark Plugs or front an rear Rotors.
This vertical Loom is only about 5/8ths in diameter and is held onto this LH Alloy Engine Mount Bracket by a single factory Zip Tie which presses into a small hole in the Alloy Bracket on the rear or right side of Alloy Bracket as you look at it.
Now I notice my Zip Tie was broken and the Loom was free to move around, not by much, but enough to brightly shine the Alloy Bracket in one spot to a mirror finish.
What I am concerned about is long term, this Loom could be worn through to expose Wires.
Prevention :, I suggest you check your Loom, if Zip Tie is broken remove it and install a Loom Protector, a piece of Tubing (Hardware Store), or add more Electrical Black Tape to the touching area.
Sorry no Pics as my Camera is down, but next time you have, or do a service check it out, you will see what I mean.
I am not sure if Series 1's have this loom, possibly, and I am not sure on its purpose as I have not investigated that ..

Yeah, it could be Denny...
I should have noted where it went, was not really interested at the time, I will have to remove Wheel to find out...will let you know next Service...but I think you could be right OD, Oil Level Switch.
