Will error P0661 also trip an ambient air temp alarm?

The error is most likely a faulty vacuum solenoid valve which actuates the SSV. Replacing the solenoid valve should fix this. Before I do that, is the ambient air temp alarm related? I also recieved an ecu voltage warning once a few days ago but it never returned so I don't actually know how far that value was off or if I should be concerned.

Am I paying too close attention to the OBD2 info?

Are these codes? If they're not codes, don't worry about it. If they're codes, please post the specific codes.

The only actual code I got was P0661. Ultragauge doesn't provide any information beyond that. Is there a easier way to narrow that down or should I check all three solenoids?

That would be the SSV solenoid - in the manual. A Google search using the terms: site:rx8club.com P0661 will yield some great solutions
