Yes they are they same basically..
IF you are sure it is flooded, and I am assuming you have some mechanical competence?
IF not, I suggest you leave the car overnight 12+ hours...remove top spark plug in each housing if you can to allow it to dry out
Check the condition of the Spark Plugs.
In the meantime make sure your cars Battery is charged with a tender, make sure Cells have fluid (if still original or a wet cell),
the battery crank amps could be poor, suggest new battery if it Cranks slow, as trying again will only flood it again.
But really the Battery must be in good CCA order or you are wasting your time.
IF it is a manual, you can get it de-flooded by having it towed while trying to drag start it (last resort).
Then come the usuals, condition of coils, how many miles has car done, what are ENGINE Compressions like.
