Variable Redline indicator issue/question...

Ok, we all know the S2 has 3 variable redline indicators for engine warm-up...

Do all 3 go off when warm or do 2 go them off and the 3rd (on the right) under 9000 rpm marking stay on always?

My 3rd indicator does not go off at all. I drove it around for about half hour, I drove the car hard. I was able to rev to 9000 rpm and the warning beeper did go off, but I am unsure if something is wrong with the car or this one always stays on.

I did search, found 1 thread with 2 posts and no real information.

Thanks all!

As Shumster said the 3RD Red LED under Tacho is always ON..apart from car/ignition off.

Thanks, guys. I appreciate it. The owners manual was a freaking worthless resource for this - It says 3 variable indicators, so leads you to assume all 3 would go off.

There are 3 variable redlines and 3 indicators. It's not that confusing. Also, if you notice, the last illuminated redline indicator lines up with the red markings printed on the dial; it would be rather odd for Mazda to print those markings on the dial if they didn't actually apply, wouldn't it?
