Series 2 Satellite Radio Reception
Is anyone else having issues with ACQUIRING satellite radio issues while driving through tree lined streets in the country. I recently received a 6 month plan and had issue constantly with signal acquiring while in NH trip. I know why I stopped paying for satellite radio:
* tinny sound as compared to USB music or BT-Aux port
* poor reception in tree lined roads and when there isn't ~160 ° field of view
* limited channels of music I like to listen - I found myself switching channels constantly
This is an example of a drive where the reception would cut out every 5-15 seconds and go into ACQUIRING mode. Satellite radio reception is fine in a wide open parking lot or driving where there is 180° field of view.

This reminds me, I need to cancel mine as I sold my 8 and my Accord doesn't have XM.
Never had a problem in my 8. There is a backroad I take that's kinda like the one in the pic, but the reception still works in there most of the time. There are times the signal would drop out randomly, but it's not very frequent in my experience.

I had a significant # of acquiring issues in these driving areas: WVa backroads coming from Virginia to KY (tree cover / low lying areas), Deals Gap DGRR, Georgia mountains (mostly low lying areas), NH low lying area neat Mt Washington, and so forth. It might be due to tree cover but to me this should be fixed with buffering of signal.
I'd like to eliminate environment before I look into the antenna connection. (Although in a wide open space like a large corporate parking lot (moving or not) I get perfect play.
