So I was thinking of a good way to read the oil temperature of the series 2 8's. Since we cant use a sandwhich plate, what about using one of these:

And just reading the temps from the pan? I dont change my oil from the drain plug so it would pretty much sit in there permanently. Thoughts?

Edit: I understand that the oil in the pan wouldn't be the "hottest" but after doing some reading it seems to be the recommended place to get a "general" temp reading.
