Installing catch can on R3

Well, you shouldn't have oil in the intake, even on track, unless your engine isn't healthy, you over-filled the oil, or you filled the oil when the engine was running (I think the idle vacuum can pull oil into the "catch can" built into the S2's fill neck where it can get trapped until you're running WOT for a while when it can make its way into the intake boot - I think this is what happened to me). So, overall, that's a good thing.

Well, It's been a few months, which included a trip to DGRR and plenty of the most spirited driving this car has ever seen. By the time I returned home I needed an oil change and figured it was a good time to check the catch can for the first time ever. Results.......Not one single "drop" of oil. This was a thin film all over the inside of the can, but nothing that you could actually pour out of the can.Originally Posted by wannawankel
Let us know what it catches - volume and quality (how much is water vs oil vs the nether-layer).
So I think the conclusion that we can draw here as has been suggested by a few people, if your engine is healthy, there really isn't much work for a catch can to do on a series 2.
