Does anybody know what this is?
i have a feeling it has something to do with the security system for my car but im not sure what the green button is for. i tried pressing it but nothing happens. does anybody know what the button is for and am i correct when i say it has something to do with the security system?

Are there any loose or snipped wires in the engine bay? Can you have a friend look around the outside of the car to see if it does anything weird to the lights?
