Compression Test Results - at 82 rpms?
I had my 2009 R3 compression tested today at a reputable mazda dealer that I trust (I wanted to do the test before buying the car but since the dealer was not local, I wanted to minimize trips back and forth. So I had a written contract with the non-mazda dealer that I bought the car from that they would pay the $500-600 that a new engine costs under warranty if the engine failed a compression test or they would refund my money and take the car back completely - the choice would be mine to make).
My results were as follows (in kg/cm^2):
Rotor 1: 8.2/8.4/8.5 281 rpms
Rotor 2: 8.3/8.1/8.4 82 rpms
Now I'm wondering if that 82 rpms is possibly a typo, because I don't see how the test could be preformed at such a low rpm. And since they were able to test rotor 1 at the normal rpm range, I don't understand why they would preform the test on the second rotor at such a slow speed.
Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, I didn't notice this glaring error when I was at the dealer today. I will definitely be calling them or going back to discuss the matter with them but wanted to get some feed back on here first.
Thoughts on this? As far as I can tell all of my numbers fall within all the specs including differences between chambers as well as between rotors but feel free to tell me your thoughts on the numbers as well.

That's a typo. Those numbers are impossibly high if that was actually 82rpm. The test is done with your starter, and it wouldn't vary by so much from one rotor to the next. A 1rpm swing of 281 to 282 makes far far far more sense.
