Auto Shift Knob
 

RX-8 OEM Automatic Shift Knob, Is it just easy as unscrewing it? (Lefty, Loosy)?

I don't want to break my knob trying to unscrew it.

my MT just screws off, try twisting? If theres some play to it then keep going. Ill let someone who owns a automatic confirm though.

I did some on-line searching and I could not see exact procedure to remove Auto Shift Knob.

Now I have done these on old Mazda Auto Trans before and I see no reason for it to be any different, so yes lefty loosy..you should be OK...they can be pretty tight, more than Manual trans Knobs.

just unscrew it... turn hard to the left, itll go. Ive taken mine off plenty of times
