ABS and DSC Lights Come On After Driving
Just wanted to leave a note on the ABS and DSC lights coming on after driving for a brief period of time. In my case they could be reset with turning the car off and then back on, but would reappear soon thereafter.
I read many threads on this, several that seemed to indicate lights that were more or less stuck on due to a blown fuse, bad stop light switch, LED bulb being used, or a stop light out. There were also ideas about bad sensors, bad sensor wires, dirty connectors, shorts, debris affecting the sensors, etc.
I looked at and tried many things to try to understand/solve what was causing my lights to appear. Ultimately, after thinking about what I read, I ended up doing 4 or 5 hard stops to activate the ABS, and this seemed to solve the problem, at least for the last few days. Previously, the lights would come on within a couple of miles of driving. If the lights reappear soon, I'll repost.
