2009 r3 has not been driven in a year
So I have one here that has not been driven since late December 2020, stored outside, as I go to start it up the first time what should I be aware of or be doing perhaps. Other than obviously a battery boost. Thanks
Add fresh gas and go easy on the first tank. Plan to change the oil soon. Other than that fire away.
If the battery was allowed to drain to zero, there's a chance it's damaged, but it won't prevent the car from starting off a boost.

On account of the fact I had no idea how long it would be idle, I did not. Which is dropping the ball as I'm duly aware. When I started it up just the other day I added about 10 dollars worth of fuel, (approx an eight of the tank), previously there was about that much in the tank as I had added some gas before that last drive.
Just take it easy until you're sure the old gas is mostly gone. If it was sitting with a near empty tank you might have accumulated some water which would sit under the gas.
Maybe add SeaFoam to the tank for good measure, bur basically if it runs it's fine.

Thanks Loki, when I started it the first time just the other day as I said I added about ten dollars of fresh gas and once started it ran for about 20 minutes to sort itself out. Ran very smoothly. Didn't drive since the brakes are ancient and I'm about to get the rotors changed before driving it finally.
I'll add get some of this said sea foam today before running the engine and getting it towed for the service later today. We'll see how that goes
