Upgrading BOSE tweeters
My ears are starting to go (I'm 60 and suffering from tinnitus) but I've bought a pair of Alpine S-S10W tweeters to upgrade my BOSE stereo iaw 2 threads here: replacing the stock tweeter and soldering in parallel with the stock tweeter . I bought these as I was told that these were the latest incarnation of the Alpine S Series SPS-110TW tweeters in that first thread with the same 1k crossover and 12db slope (specs here). I'll be fitting them in conjunction with dynomat sound-deadening and an 8" Focal sub in a purpose-built enclosure in place of the ski hatch.
However, I now see their impedance is 6 ohms. So,

- Is this impedance too high?
- If I use them, which is likely to be the better of 2 options?
