Recaro to Sport Seats
This is a goofy question/post, but have any R3 owners removed their Recaros and replaced them with the non power sport seats?
I am about to be assigned a new duty station for 6-8 months that is about 6 hours away from home. I won't be doing a lot of commuting, but I will be doing a lot of road tripping to see family on the holidays. I am 5'10" close to 190 with a 32" waist. The Recaros are uncomfortable and as evident from other R3 owners not very durable. I am considering temporarily replacing the drivers seat with one of the non power sport seats. Also does anyone know if the series I seats' airbag wiring harness work with the series II cars?

I'll go a step further and say the only thing different about the recaros is the seatback. The rest is the same. Bottom looks like a standard sport bottom with some extra bolstering and different cloth.
