Ok so I ordered the lotek pod. I think I am going to try and shave it down a bit to match the dimensions of the speaker grill up top. Maybe I can find a way to fab some clips or something so that it will clip into the OEM holes, who knows, but for 50 bucks I am willing to give it a shot.

Has anyone got the temp readings working yet? I am wondering if 9k's method will work out. Where would I snag one of those adapters? Also, got a schematic of where I would pop that in on the s2's?

Going with what 9k said, so I can just pop in one of those fittings in between the "OIL HOSE" and "METERING OIL PUMP NO.2" to read some temps right?

FYI I found the fitting on etrailers.com and ordered it (10AN w/ 1/8 fitting)

Thanks, I am hoping that the oil feed is threaded or something so that I can literally just plug and play and not have to create a clamp for it or something.

Not sure exactly what I am going to do yet, all i know is that i will need to dremel off the front lip at the very least. I was hoping to be able to shave down the sides to slide into the OE speaker port, but I dont know if I risk the structural integrity of hte pods

Question guys. Got an email from the guys over at etrailer that it may take a while for me to get my fitting because they need to get it from the manufacturer. I was wondering, will this one work as well:

Is there a constant oil flow from the oil pump through the metering oil pump units?

@paimon.soror

from where did you get the technical picture of the oil pipes?

I am not too sure, I would think so but I cant be positive.

As far as the picture goes, I got it from one of the small 2009 tech docs that I found online. Let me know if you can access it from this link:

Are you asking if this will work with the stock oil lines? If so, no it won't.

This will though

Hi guys!

That's my solution:

The wires are a bit "crappy" but with something around it, it would be fine.

What ever works, I would worry about how secure they are though.

Is that some kind of gauge mounting kit or custom setup?

Has anyone tried the ones from Greddy ? There's is supposedly "universal" and will work on series 2 but i don't see anyone on here that's tried them.

How come they are all tilted?
I would imagine at a quick glance you would want to know where the meter sits and not where it reads.
But I guess if you get used to them like that...it works.

I kinda look at it like hanging a clock with 11am up top and noon where 1pm should be.

I know I'm in the s2 area. Just pointing out the gauges.

now I have to paint the vents piano black. Are the vent's the same size from S1/S2's, cause I'd like to swap those?

According to this place, mazda speed store , they have an A Pillar option that they claim will work for the series 2 ..... which doesn't necessarily mean anything, lol, I've returned so much **** it's insane from people saying stuff will fit when it doesn't. However, if it does fit, only drawback is 1, it's rediculously expensive like 250 , 2, it's carbon fiber and doesn't look like it would match at all .... would need to def be painted to match. here's the link :

i just installed water temp and oil press gauges on my car today...i spend 5 hours working to get the work done...both working great and in case u guys dont get a "T" for the water temp u can do what i did...i made a hole into one of the parts were the coolant goes trough already in full temp and installed the gauge sensor there...lots of parts needs to be removed, lot of coolant is lost (so dont install that gauge with at least 2 gallons of coolant around to fill the car again...if u guys need a pic of it just let me know and will try to upload it (not good with that :p)
