They should, the S2 R3 sideskirts fit on an S1.

There were a few minor updates to Sill Panels OUTER , but officially the latest S2 Sill Panel outer will fit on a Series 1 RX-8 and is used as the new replacement part.

I don't understand....with the minor difference in price, why wouldn't you just go for the R3 side skirts? They can be ordered from Mazda in any factory color, including non-R3 colors.

The R3 side skirts are ~700 a pop :O!!
