I don't know about cost.
The headlights are designed differently on the s2.
It's worth it if you want it bad badly enough...

The bumper has to be modified around the headlights and the corners where it lines up with the fenders.

if i wanted it bad enough.....

http://www.mazdaspeedstore.com/mazda...a--p-484.html#

i know front modification will be necessary to headlight and side but what about the sideskirts and rear? i know the rear bumper is different but different enough to cause too many problems? if the rear and sideskirts need anything more than slight modification then ill just purchase the front and be done with 140 plus modification and paint.

Iknow its a replica, i just need to get rid of my mustache by any cost effective means.

Frankly I would leave it, every mod I have seen turns out to look like a dogs breakfast...
The Mazda Australia MS RX-8 above is not a Series II, but an S1 with tacked on panels from S2.

Just some advice, you will appreciate the "moustache" as it will save your front if you are a tapper or get tapped by other cars.

It would take a lot of skill and money to get a series I Mazdaspeed Bumper to fit a Series II. But my buddy just got this and while he still has some work to do, I think it will look great once the rest of his car is sorted.

It would be paint and some finishing work since it is made of fiberglass some refinishing work is almost always needed. Cost would depend, but with body shops check references and get referrals because a lot of shops suck.

I like those 2 modified oem bumpers, they look nice, the one without the mustache and the painted mustache are my favs

HOWEVER

im still scouring the forums to find that post about the MS / MS replica, whatever it was.. that the company made to fit the S2, the guy said the website said it fit the 04-09 and he emailed saying the 09 was different than the 08 and they said that they modified it to work with the 09+. HAS ANYONE SEEN THIS?!?! im going crazy looking for it but i dont remember where i found it!

Im going to my mechanic tomorrow and going to ask him if he knows someone who can do some custom work if i were to just get a S1 bumper.

Best case scenario-i find that modified MS front bumper and just buy and paint
ehh case scenario -Mazdatrix front bumper, buy and paint
Worst case scenario -S1 MS front bumper and pay for bumper+custom work+paint.

You can get the M'Z Custom for the Series 2. The bumper is on the Mazdaspeed S2 concept car.

I see where you are coming from. What I would like is a replacement grill insert, rather than an entire front bumper cover replacement. There is a CF one made by RE Amemiya that looks pretty sweet. Not cheap but would provide some resolution plus give a lot of airflow.

Go for the RE Amemiya or the ms for s2 they look both awesome

If you have an s2 dont make it to look like an s1
