To ensure 101% accuracy please post your VIN Number, or post what your Spare Part request is here in this thread or separately PM me your VIN Number if you do not want to disclose VIN # here in this thread. The VIN # is usually located on your cars Bulk Head or Fire Wall or Drivers Door Jam or in the front pages of your Service Handbook. Depending on your Region (country) it will look like the following EXAMPLES.. JM1FE1C45A0404332 (North America or Canada) JM0FE103290301052(Australia) JMZSE103180200332 (Europe) JM6FE103110100332 (General Market) JM7FE103100100332 (General Market) With your VIN number you and I can be 100% sure of the correct Paint Color or Trim Combination or Transmission and or features ..like Stereo's, with or without Spoiler or Sunroof or correct Suspension or Brake details , etc, etc Please keep in mind that I am in Australia and there could be a slight delay, however I try to check out the club site daily. BTW:::The Side (Left Hand or Right Hand Side) of any car (either Left- LHD or Right Hand Drive - RHD) is determined as you sit in your car, left is left, right is right. NOT as you are looking at your car from the outside. ************************************************** *************************************** MAZDA Paint and Colour CODES used for actual Car Painting Codes and on the END of MAZDA Part Numbers. TO TRY AND KEEP THIS THREAD CONCISE WITHOUT UNRELATED COMMENT IF YOU WISH TO 'SUBSCRIBE' USE THE "Thread Tools" LOCATED ON THE TOP RIGHT CORNER OF THIS THREAD..Please. I recommend purchasing your OEM parts from RX-8 Club forum Vendors like Mazmart and or our forum on-line Advertisers. PLEASE BE AWARE: DO NOT REQUEST HELP OR PART NUMBERS IF THE INFO IS ALREADY COLLATED WITHIN THIS THREAD.... SO READ IT BEFORE YOU MAKE CONTACT WITH ME ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooOOOooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo THE USE OF NON GENUINE MAZDA PARTS... Please be very careful on what renewable and non genuine replacement car Parts you install or have installed in your Mazda. 40+ years ago I used to think that I could not see much or any difference between genuine and cloned or replicated new parts, or the so called better engineered 'performance' or copied Mazda Parts as being a money saver for car owners as they were a 1/4 of the price than from a new car Mazda Dealer 'Spare Parts Department". Well a WARNING, most are not better, in fact they are inferior and poorly made where you can not see The inside. And or down right dangerous. A few recent reminders... 1. eBay RX-8 Ignition Coils (for Spark Plugs) while they look 99.5% OEM and original, they simply are not, they are inferior and a cheap knock off which will not last and in actual fact puts your CAT and Engines reliability at risk, many of these cheap Coils last only a few hundred miles. 2. Cloned 'Clock Springs', these are a multi-tasking module directly behind your Steering Wheel, it's purpose is for electrical supply to Steering Wheel push buttons, audio, indicators and most importantly Air Bag power supply and ignition in case of deployment. Currently in 2015 Toyota Australia are trying to locate many of these installed cheap knock offs and will sue those sellers who are putting Toyota's reputation at risk and also severely compromising the safety of the owner driver. It is just not worth the risk to you, your family or other road users. Ash |

R3 bumper and sides mazda #?
Hey does anyone know the mazda part number for the R3 front bumper and side skirts, i've tried searching and cant come up with a number, the reason why i'm asking is because I've phoned 3 mazda dealers and and they all say they need the vin number, 2 of them didn't even know what a R3 rx8 was and the 1 that remotely kinda knew what it was said there was 26 different options :banghead: I am wanting to put the front and sides on my 09 GT thats why i'm asking. Thanks
|
Give me a moment and I will give you some numbers..
DEALER part guys (some) don't use the term R3 as it is not listed ANYWHERE in ANY Mazda EPC... It is With Side Spoilers LARGE.. |
And YES..a VIN Number will confirm showing up to 6 different (R3) front Bumper covers with or without headlamp cleaners....
Supply a VIN and I can confirm exact Part Numbers.. Used up to June 1st 2009.. F1Y7-50-03XAAA Front Bumper (Primed NOT Painted). Side Step Skirts "Spoiler Large" and ARE colour Coded (painted) F197-51-P40A85 Right (85 Crystal White Pearl) F197-51-P50A85 Left (85 Crystal White Pearl) AGAIN your VIN will confirm Colour...I am not listing every colour...Please read OP in this thread. :) |
I'm not sure didn't even know there were options for large or small, i knew there were options on with or without headlight washers, because i wanted to get rid of that anyways.
|
I'm looking a Mazda motorsports and don't see the side skirts
|
Ash, I'm looking for the part number for the trim peice that covers the access to the parking brake adjustment nut. Don't know if it comes in different colors but I need black. For a visual, on a US model, it is the part that is in the forward right corner of the cup warmer.
Some how, during my upgrade, I lost the part. It probably got swept up by accident. |

R3 Fog Lamp Assembly
So the fog light lense on the right side is cracked open from a rock, and i was looking at mazda-parts.com for a replacement. But I've noticed they have 2 options for it, being the same price for 290.xx, with one having the description LAMP(R)-F.FOG - 2009, and the other 2009-11. Is there any difference? which one should i buy?

2006 rx8 mt. (vin number redacted). I'm looking for the plastic piece inside the driver's side door that the exterior door handle uses as a pivot to open the door when the handle is pulled. That's the best way I can think to describe it. I think there is a spring attached to this piece somehow but I'm not sure since mine broke and the spring fell off. Here is a picture of the broken piece:
Attachment 289303 Here is another angle. The broken piece is on the right. You can see a part of it dangling off. The metal thing on the left is the lock cylinder: Attachment 289304 Thanks! I'm also wondering about the part number of the white plastic circular clips used to hold the door panel on. I broke a couple of those getting into the door to snap those pictures. |
First..FULL MARKS M8 for supplying your full VIN #..it helps me so much... :)
And of absolutely no use to anyone else. Your Door Trim Clips # GJ6A-68-AB1 $0.90 cents each. Now the pics, again, thanks..... ANYTHING to do with the outer Door Handle is part of the Door Handle. Your Galaxy Gray Handle for Left Side is # GJ6A-59-410N-91 It has been slightly modified and improved, new for $50.00 |

Nope...that is something offered in Japan only...
In this case Distributors (outside of Japan) do not import these 'assemblies' or kits, mainly because of the numbers (quantities) involved..the Japan Parts one converts to $915+ shipping ($1000+ at a guess (cubic size)). The 'V4' Part Number says this is a factory "Accessory Kit" (also in the RX-8 Accessory PDF), for Japan Only for reasons stated above. Be careful about JP, they are a good company, but many of their web prices are also old ones. F1Y7-50-03XBBB Front Bar Cover 'Primed ONLY' R3 (no headlight washers). F1Y9-50-03XBBB Front Bar Cover 'Primed ONLY' not R3 (NHW) Plus, now the car (RX-8) is out of production these Kits will not be re-stocked, so once sold out, you then go to separate individual OE parts. |

I had a feeling that would be the case....sounds like I'll need to jump on buying a pre-painted one, if I really want to get it that way. Thank you for your help, though, ASH. *edit* I did find these part no's in an online EPC system and the accessory catalog, however....how do they show up for you? F1Y7-50-03XB16 F1Y7-50-03XA16 |
ASH8, I am looking for the RH tail light. Can just the clear lens be replaced or is it the whole assembly? I think I found the P/N for the assembly but want to double check: 51-150G-FF14
Also, any sites that have them at a discount would be great. Thanks..... |
Nope you can not buy just buy the Clear Only..

I'm looking for the part number to a rear right wheel well inner sheet metal, it fits between the fender quarter FEY270410A and the liner and runs along the full wheel flange. Information I can find a possible number of F15170115B but I cant tell if its the correct part. Thanks if you can help |
2 Attachment(s)
:) Hello..
The FEY2-70-410A is the OUTER Rear RH 1/4 Panel, and is not what you need. The actual RH WHEEL Arch steel panel by itself is F151-70-115B. The F151-70-100T is the COMPLETE RH Inner 1/4 Panel and includes (F151-70-115B) the Wheel Arch. In this instance same RH 1/4 Panels for ALL Series RX-8's. |
Helloo
i think i might need a coolant bottle , did the coolant flush and cleaned bottle out light comes on with regular driving around 4k rpm in 6 gear. vin is jm1fe173140138623 2004 6spd GT also would like to know if theres a new part for the sunvisor as both my passenger and driver side snapped in half when i tried to bring it down.... also need the undertray with the uprights and the clips that hold them together as its all torn and beat up and is it worth investing into a aluminum tray? thanks in advance :D |
Hi ...:)
And MANY, MANY Thanks for your VIN #, it make is so much more easier for interpretation and making certain you get the correct parts, particularly when 'trim' and interior or coloured parts are concerned. Your Coolant Bottle, well you have a very early one, I personally would go for the complete unit with cap, bottle and sensor. N3H1-15-350M Coolant Tank/Bottle Assembly with everything, it is the most expensive...or N3H1-15-351G Coolant Tank/Bottle with Sensor, but N0 pressure Cap, and no lower Hose, it is a lot cheaper. I would talk to Paul at Mazmart, he is a great guy, forum sponsor and is currently running a special on Genuine Coolant Bottles for RX-8....tell Paul I (ASH8) sent you to him and he will look after you...;) Mazmart Shopping Cart Your Sun Visors..not cheap..very expensive, again ask Paul, he may have a good price for you. FE01-69-270G77 Visor Right FE01-69-320G77 Visor Left I take it you are talking about the Oil Pan Cover under engine (Black Plastic)?? If so..here is the #.. F151-56-110D Under Cover, about $140 Aluminum ones (Series II's) are not for Series I and are very expensive and won't fit. If you are talking an after market unit, again talk to Paul, his vast US contacts would know of what you are after...IF the price is right. Ash |
One thing I omitted about your Sun Visors, you were not specific enough on what broke..separate to the Visor's itself are the two small 'lock in clips' or holders, which stay attached to the roof alone and don't swing or move..what the Visor clicks into.
These sometimes crack or break..and are only about $3.00 each. LC62-69-261B77 Holder BTW: A little bit of Mazda Parts trivia, these exact same Visor Clip Holders were first used back in 1999 on Mazda E Series Vans/Truck's and used in Mazda 2, 3, 5 and 6, CX-7 and CX-9, T Series Trucks, MPV, and Premacy. :) |

sorry about that . Here is a picture of the part that split the sunvisor in half when i tried to bring it down its circled in red and it wouldnt move. my passenger side same thing happen as my friend got in the car and tried to bring it down without knowing...
the under cover i im talking about is the one that attaches to the front bumper and covers the radiator. |
No internal parts of visors are available from Mazda...you have to purchase the complete unit.
|
ok thanks , but its not the internal that broke. that circled part caused my visors to split open in half when trying to bring it down is what im trying to say.
|
So hit a high sidewalk and damaged various parts of the rear left suspension and broke the inside wheel well. should be possible to see the diagram?
Many Thanks!! 2009 series2 GT rx8 vin number JM1FE174990402302 |
4 Attachment(s)
I am guessing you 'broke' the suspension linkages in that area, well there are around 5 long Ball jointed rods or links, you then have the
expensive "alloy" HUB where all these suspension links meet and joint via these Ball Joints. A brilliant suspension set up for it's simplicity and ride/handling, weight...Rear Bearing and Brake Disk are installed here too. IMO the best multi- link rear set up ever made by a mass producer. If any of these Rods have a bend or are damaged you must renew them, don't try and repair or straighten. Panel (inner wheel well arch) damaged would have to be assessed for repair. So too should be the black rear steel sub-frame where ALL of these linkages fix to at their 'other' ends. Anyway..here are EPC Parts Pics or Sketches, it is what ALL Mazda Dealers use to identify what parts and part numbers are for your RX-8. |
thank you man!
you are right I bent some arms and probably the lower joint of the damper..the wheel is bent like if it has very negative camber...I hope you understand what I mean! Is it possible to see pics of the rear upper arms and sub frame? also the the panel in the wheel well is a plastic panel attached to part 5390 but I don't see it in the pics... thanks again!! |
2 Attachment(s)
The 5390 is just the Felt Liner...all the panels (Metal have been shown above).

Unfortunately "the plastic that goes behind the silver door handle" is not what I was looking for lol ... though it is in the same immediate area ... let me explaine better, would you know the "red" led light that illuminates the door handle ? The piece I'm looking for is the plastic trim that covers / goes around that LED .. thank you, and sorry for the confusion

The part I'm looking for is the inner splash guard inside the rear left wheel well but it's actually a plastic part of the rear bumper...
I also damaged the fuel tank protection...can you help me? |

I also damaged the fuel tank protection...can you help me? I guess we are talking USA LHD 2004-2008??? Did you read first post??? The black plastic part (inner rear splash guard) F151-50-351D LH up to 2008 F189-50-351B LH from and including MY 2009-2012 Fuel Tank protector(s) is only available with new Tank...need a VIN # |
sorry I already posted my vin ...
I'm talking about 2009 series2! JM1FE174990402302 |
M8, I don't have the time to remember every user/member here...
It would be much easier to put some details about your car in a signature, go to User CP top left. Or if you want me to I can do it for you. Apart from that part # information is unchanged. FF14-42-110A Fuel Tank...about $1500.00 F189-50-351B Shield LH $37.00 |
I thought I could have changed only the metal fuel tank protector! $1500 it's way too much!
Another question.. I would like my GT to look like an R3..I like the front bumper and side skirts but not the rear spoiler... considering that my front grille is broken can you tell what front bumper parts will I need to transform it into an R3? also codes for side skirts? VIN JM1FE174990402302 thank you |
R3 Front Bumper Parts
Around $1600 For the parts, plus the painting of Bumper... OEM Replacement Bumpers are not finished (Painted) for Mazda's export Distributors.. You could contact Paul at Mazmart, he was doing a special purchase of R3 Front Bumpers direct from Japan and Mazda painted...it might be too late though.?? On top of the Bumper ONLY you also need to purchase the 3 piece LOWER Air Splitters, plus a few other bits and pieces...these are around $700 total approx...which give the $1600 total. If you really want me to list all the Mazda Part numbers let me know. Your paint code is 27A..Velocity Red FF14-50-1T1B Grille, about $40 F197-51-P40A-87 Side Skirt RH Velocity Red $620 F197-51-P50A-87 Side Skirt LH Velocity Red $620 So $1200, just for the R3 side skirts which ARE factory painted. These are current prices, you may find sellers/dealers who are cheaper who have old stocks. |
well the price is high...but it's also the only kit that i like...
I could skip on the side skirts and get them non OEM... I live in italy but maybe I can find the parts in UK.. If you can please list all the front bumper parts numbers that I will need... |
