It doesn't specify if it's the bulbs only or the whole housing....

If they're made specifically for the RX-8 and it's the housing, then the price is a steal..

as I posted you can get them for less, here:

Ok heres the link for the halos, they are brand new to the website and i spoke to a representative and said the have the halos for the RX8 up on the website and you its true, heres the link http://www.automotivelightstore.com/...ROD&ProdID=239 They go for 199.00! The ebay link prob didnt work because the action had ended! I say these are the best Halos for the RX8 on the market since they use ballast same as the HID cars!

ORACLE HALO Kits Include the Following:

* (2) RX8 Large CCFL Halo Rings
* (2) RX8 Small CCFL Halo Rings
* (2) V2 Hi-Power Demon Eye Ballasts
* Mazda RX8 Specific Wiring

* BONUS: Instructions to Custom Paint your Headlights.
* Everything you need to add Demon Eyes to your Headlights

if u want to open the headlights then jus put them in the oven for 3mins. at 250degrees then cut the seals with a knife or pry it open with a flat head screwdriver

TheGreatLouisianaRoadkill 08-05-2008 11:06 PM

does this only work with the xenon headlights or do they work with the HIDs also?

JOK3RNY 08-06-2008 10:04 AM

The kit that i posted works with both Halogen bulbs and HID headlights!

hmm not sure about this..they must be the blue rings, because I just got my 8000k kit which should match my 8000k HID bulbs perfect. I was told I got the first set of these, which is why got a discount and need to send them some pics for their site. Ill have them in as soon as I get the car back from the dealer. The kit looks great though, I lit the rings up and theyre bright as hell

TheGreatLouisianaRoadkill 08-26-2008 01:28 AM

Ok three things

1) lol why is one of your tags labeled porn???

2) eww why?

3)if your going through the trouble or removing the lens why dont you mod your projectors while you are at it?. i gurantee you will enjoy it alot more

drop in some sc430 projectors with some e30 lenses and you get this:

or just take rotaryrasp's idea and do this:
http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/view...&highlight=rx8

or this one which is much easier and requires no mods:

The halos look good but I'm not willing to risk destroying a headlight at $950 a pop.

RogueTadhg 01-26-2011 04:01 PM

Go with Butyl Rubber Sealant, not silicon. This is what retrofitters tend to prefer - it's basicly what is already used in the first place... which is a good thing.
Liquid: http://www.amazon.com/CRL-White-Buty...078871&sr=8-16
Tape: http://www.amazon.com/30-Black-Butyl...6078949&sr=1-4

Both will work. Some people say Tape is easier to remove. I don't know, I prefer the liquid myself.

FYI: "When fully cured it forms an elastic, all-weather resistant seal which bonds to many surfaces. Application temperature range is 40 to 120°F (4 to 49°C). It also withstands temperature changes from -20 to 200°F (-29 to 93°C)."
