Hi, I recently purchased a 2009 R3 with 90,000Km on it in good condition. Been reading through the threads and noticed I have an intermittent misfire and CAT reddish after a good run. New plugs coils and wires are on the way but just planning ahead in case my CAT is at its end. No track days planned but I plan to hold on to this car so should I get the HJS 90 95 0072 CAT , cut out my existing CAT at the muffler shop and have them install the HJS with a port for the O2 sensor installed after the HJS CAT?

A rotary engine flows more air to make the same hp as a piston engine. I’d recommend a min 280 hp rated cat rather than the 240 hp one listed above just to be sure of minimum backpressure. That’s critical on a Renesis especially.
