Hi guys, i was at my local muffler shop the other day doing some maintenance to my exhaust and they told me about doing a custom downpipe to the car...anyone have donde this?. Im just not sure about the connection from the header to the midpipe, is that the downpipe? sorry for my poor knowledge, but i just want to make sure about that before leaving my car to discover that it cant be done...

 

down pipe is part of a turbo set up. i think you mean the mid pipe(replaces cat) or the pipe that connects the cat to the mufflers

 

i had that confusion last night. thanks bro for letting me know downpipe are only on turbo set ups. Think i will have to get RB headers or built my own one...thanks guys

 

down pipes are usually between the headers and the cat, or is part of the cat it self, (Mid pipe is the term used in our cases since we do not have a "down pipe"), customizing this without a cat will light up your check engine light and unless you but in some good resonated your will have alot of rasp from the exhaust. (very agressant noise)

 

i already have an AP midpipe ( no CEL) and a custom catback...just want to keep moding up my car...sounds like my next step is the headers area since i already hace an AEM CAI (no CEL either) but not enough cash for a better suspesion than the stock one...

No cel after removing the cat converter?, wich MY?

 

MY 2009... i have an agency power dual resonated midpipe...got it from th motorsports right here on the forum.

 

I had the Agency Power mid-pipe on my 2009, and I also didn't have the cel going off!

 

^ sometimes it takes a while.

Sometimes it doesnt, it really depends on the car itself and not the MY. Really its luck of the draw.
